Growing up in the covenant.
Children's Ministry is our ministry to the children — a place of song, story, and Scripture, where the youngest members of our church family learn who Jesus is and why he came.
At FPCN children are welcome in the worship service — squirming, fidgeting, and all — because we believe that God's promises are for them. We believe the ordinary means of grace are for the whole church, young and old. During church we do have a nursery and an area where moms or dads can still watch the service and children can play if they do get loud.
Alongside worship, the church offers age-appropriate teaching on Sundays before the service, where we use catechism-based curricula rooted in the Westminster Shorter Catechism and the Bible's own storyline. In this, we don't aim to entertain the children but truly disciple them — showing them who Jesus is and how to worship him.
Every leader of children's Sunday school is a member of the church in good standing, and we take child safeguarding seriously. If you have any questions, please ask a pastor or elder.

A safe, quiet space for babies and toddlers. Parents welcome, with an area to still watch the service.
2–6Preschool
Preschool Class
Children's Catechism and Bible stories for our youngest disciples — including colouring, memory verses, and prayer.
6–12Elementary
Elementary School
Working through the Bible and building doctrinal foundations for a lifetime.

For parents
What to expect on your first Sunday.
Arrive a little early. A greeter will meet you and show you around. You'll be introduced to the leaders and can stay with your child until they're settled.
Children are welcome in the service. The service starts at 11:00, and Sunday school typically starts at 10:00. Many of our families keep their children with them in worship.
Nursery is available during the service. For moms and dads who need it, our nursery is set up so parents can still watch the service while their little ones play.
